‘The installation A Staged Slumber can be viewed as an index of characters in slumber, consisting of drawings, videos and sculptures, waiting for their moment to enter the stage. After their collaborative projects A smoker’s theatre (2021) and A bunch of red herrings (2022), Caz and Jesse continue their research on storytelling, the shaping of (art) history and the manipulability of identity through character building, sound and performativity.’
